Hwang Jeong-eum considers role in KBS "Secrets" with Ji Sung

Actress Hwang Jung-eum is revising the script of upcoming KBS 2TV drama "Secrets". Sidus HQ reported that she is currently still thinking about if or not she's going to star in it.

The role she has been offered is a woman who goes to prison for her boyfriend who causes a hit-and-run accident but gets betrayed in the end.
Ji Sung is also revising the role of Jo Min-hyeok, a rich plutocrat's son. "Secrets" is written by Choi Ho-cheol who won an award at a script contest. The directing will be done byLee Eung-bok from KBS 2TV "School 2013".

"Secrets" will be aired in September.

If you don't know, I have mad love for Hwang Jung-eun since Can You Hear My Heart and have seen just about every drama she has been in with only one disappointment (sorry fans for Full House 2, hated it) so it is with excitement that I will be following this news and hope to see her on the screen with Ji Sung, who I also like (again, didn't feel love for The Great Seer either). Here's hoping everyone accepts their roles and I will definitely be looking forward to this in September. Do we ever have a month where our favorites DON'T come up in a drama?!!

No Rest for the Drama Addicts!!

  1. I watched her in CYHMH & loved her too & then I watched her in Full House 2 & hated her! but then I watched her in IoM & once again loved her! I think it depends on the drama. FH2 was a disappointment to me all around. This one looks interesting!

    1. Exactly!! I saw her in Little Mom's Scandal and Giant too!! Both were very good!! FH2 has been my only disappointment with her. She usually has great chemistry with whoever she is with; I wasn't feeling the No Min Woo connection at all!!

    2. Even in Golden Time where there was no love story, her chemistry with Lee Sun Gyun was still very good. Though really, what's with her "fascination" toward much older actors as her pairing haha LOL just kidding. But I mean, look at these list: Jo Sang Wook, Nam Gong Min, Lee Sun Gyun, Kang Ji Hwan, Kim Jae Won, and now Ji Sung.

    3. It's funny you say that! Considering No Min Woo was closer to her age, I thought their chemistry was forced. But nothing wrong with those older men!! Yes, GT was fantastic, even minus the romance!

    4. She and Park Ki Woong had better chem than with NMW in FH2, Then again she herself said she accepted FH2 b'coz she likes Man Ok (whom I agree is actually a good character) & b'coz CCM her former agency (and NMW's) really wanted her to. So it's clearly not b'coz she loves the script haha,

Yup there's nothing wrong with those older actors, but I also miss see her with guys her age range haha, She with Daniel Choi and Yoon Shi Yoon were such a delight in High Kick.

    5. Never watched High Kick so my experience is only with the older guys.

    6. You should try it sometime. It's one of HJE's best project 'till now.

    7. She even got Baeksang Award from it. I first fall in love with her through that High Kick 2.

  2. Ji Sung and Jung Eum is the latest “couple face” for HI MART. So Korean public seemed enthusiast as their pairing is still quite fresh in their memory. I remember there had been some TV commercials and many printed ads with them in late 2012.

Watch some of their hilarious but cute CF here:

JS and HJE both love to juggle comedic and serious actings. While for HJE I love both, for JS, though he’s also great at silly and light characters, I like him better when he did serious conflicted emo type of guys. He looks smexy and macho that way LOL, Also for HJE, as much as I love her comedic acts, after FH 2 and IoM, I think it’s time for her to get back into more heavy-weight role again. So I think it was a good decision she recently turned down weekend family drama “The Wang Family”, as “Secret” seems like a meatier drama and role for her.
