My Anticipated Drama...Isn't Heirs

It's the 1940's era drama called "Basketball"

While everyone else waits with bated breath for the premiere of "Heirs", I am patiently (or impatiently) waiting for "Basketball". Unlike the other dramas, this doesn't have any big names to speak of. But what it does have is an actor, Do Ji-Han who some people who watched "Incarnation of Money" might recognize him as Kwon Hyuk, our prosecutor darling that some of use just fell for hook, line and sinker. The rest of the cast consists of fairly newcomers like Lee Elliya and former model Jeong Dong Hyun. The last leading role is Kim Bo Mi who has done a lot of dramas as a supporting or guest actor.

The drama is about the first Korean National Basketball team which entered the London Olympics in the year 1948. A man and his friends overcome the conflicts of ideas, the Japanese imperialism and independence with 'basketball'.

Of course, the story has to be dramatized by adding the story of Kang San (played by Do Ji-Han). Kang San is from a poor family. He has been struggling to get away from poverty. Through the game of basketball, he becomes successful and meets a girl from the upper class. He dreams of their love overcoming the disparity in their social standing.

I don't expect a lot of people to be watching this. Let's just say, if you follow me on twitter, you'll hear enough about it from me: good and bad. So, excluding Empress Ki and Medical Top Team, here is where you'll find me spending my precious drama watching time. Hope to see you too. It begins October 21st.
